summer is here

The kids are now off to school in shorts!  Gone for good this schoolyear are the warm jackets, boots, mittens and hats (although a few of them still need to find their way from my mudroom down to the storage room in the basement).  Here to stay for now are the sunhats and sunscreen.  There was that one blissful week of only needing to remind the kids to put on a light sweater and they were good to go, that's always a nice easy week but it comes and goes so fast.  Much like the time we have between using the furnace and turning on the A/C.  I'm tempted to put the rainboots downstairs but I'm scared to do so, it just seems to be tempting fate for more rain.

Kyle was slowly making his way onto the porch when I said "you don't have to be in this picture if you don't want to..." and he was gone before I could finish the sentence!  At least I still have 2 willing subjects for my constant camera action.
