a new look

I finally went for a haircut and love that it's shorter (maybe a bit too short?  I haven't decided yet).  Added to the fact I now wear glasses all the time I've been seeing a new face when I look in the mirror these days.  I've been wearing reading glasses for the computer for years but now have transitioned to progressives with a distance prescription as well.  After wearing them for a few weeks I can say I'm almost fully adjusted to the progressives (they do take some getting used to though).

Today Leah has come down with some mystery stomach virus.  She was complaining about a sore throat early this morning but seemed fine until around lunchtime when the pukes started, poor thing.  She has spent the whole afternoon snuggled on the couch in her pjs, and her throw-up bowl.

It looks like we have a low-key weekend ahead with a sick 3 year old and no set plans for the kids which is perfect.  I need to get some Christmas wrapping done some organizing done around the house.  Although I do have one fun night planned with my friends!  It's an odd thing for my kids to be without social plans for a whole weekend, and even odder that I actually have social plans ;-)
