Since Leah is a big fan of the new Cat in the Hat show, I thought it would be fun to do something special for dinner tonight as it is Dr. Seuss' birthday.
Yes, you are seeing this picture correctly, that is in fact green eggs and ham (well, truth be told, it's actually turkey bacon). A little pureed spinach into the scrambled eggs and voila, bright green. Kyle was a little skeptical but gobbled them up once he realized they tasted just like the regular cheesy scrambled eggs I always make. I tried to get him to say the words "I like them, Sam I am!" but he wouldn't play along. Jillian had 2 servings of everything, she must be in a growth spurt because I can hardly keep her fed these days, it seems she's always hungry.
A picture of the girls tonight after dinner. Their versions of fancy outfits are quite different. Jillian has always been into fashion but has a more subdued sense of style, she likes things that match and coordinate (that's my girl!). Jillian is of the less is more school. Leah of course feels that more is more and is always adding. Tonight she decided to add a scarf and crown to her ensemble.
