We took a family road trip to Quebec. Stopping in Montreal for a short stay, and spending most of our trip in Quebec City which is a beautiful place to visit. The old city in Quebec is amazing. It reminded me so much of the old cities I've seen in Europe. It was a lot of driving and I have to say the kids did amazing on the long drives. We had dsi's fully charged, a new game for each of the big kids (earned with this chart), snacks, water bottles filled with ice cubes and fresh water, and a few surprises for each of the kids along the way (silly putty, books, etc).
In the city of Quebec there was a lot of this
and this
walking...and stairs. I had low expecations in terms of how stroller friendly the city would be, and it actually surpassed those expectations by being somewhat stroller friendly as there were often ramps. However, there are a lot of steep hills, and I'm sure Jeff would differ in his opinion on stroller friendliess as he was the person carrying the stroller up and down the many flights of stairs!
I'll do a few posts about specific parts of the trip, but here are a few of my favourite pictures...
Beautiful pictures! You know, I lived in Montreal for four years (I went to McGill) but never once visited Quebec City. It's on my list of places to visit.
