a newly painted room for Leah

Having moved Leah successfully into her big girl bed it was time to re-decorate. Let me first add that out of the 3 kids Leah has the biggest bedroom. The other 2 rooms are quite small, this room used to be our spare room/office/storage room. But the other 2 kids don't want the queen bed, they each have twin beds and like their rooms thankyouverymuch. So I redecorated Leah's room just for her. She is a fan of purple and Tinkerbell so obviously it's painted purple and has lots of Tink! I still need to add a white border along the top between the green and purple but other than that it's pretty much done. She is loving it. Even decided to sleep through the night last night (I can probably count on my hands how many times that has happened in 26 months!). Hopefully this is the start of sleeping through the night on a regular basis? If I knew all I had to do was paint the room her favourite colour and decorate with her favourite character I would have done so long ago!

Original artwork by Leah's hands, I used her handprints to make almost the entire picture. And yes, there is a tinkerbell sitting on a toadstool. There are a total of 10 Tinkerbells in her room including the one on the outside of her door. Some are more hidden than others (can you see the little one by her pillow?).

Leah's little reading area. She always picks the pillow up off the chair and throws it as hard as possible whenever she wants to sit down.

And here are the rooms Kyle and Jillian didn't want to leave...
I've recently redone Kyle's, once he confirmed for sure he did not want to the big room with the big bed. He has the new loft bed with little reading area underneath, and some new storage cubes for all the stuff...I was tired of it all being on the floor, I'm hoping if I give him enough cubes/baskets to put the stuff it will be put away. So far so good! He picked the colour scheme of green and blue as he wanted an outdoors theme, which is why we have a tent over his bed. It's actually really cute, has little white dots all over so it looks like you are under the stars.

Jillian's pretty pink and green room. I love the colours in this room, she has a really nice dollhouse bookcase my Dad made for her which isn't in this picture, you can see just the tip of the roof in the picture (handy to have a carpenter for a father). And we've recently added the flower and polka dot clings on the wall to add a little something since her brother and sister were getting repainted and redecorated rooms. I've also added the dresser and rearranged the furniture, she's quite happy with the updates.
