lazy summer days

Lazy summer days is not how I would describe our summer.  It has been full of action...NYC, Disney cruise, cottage resort, day camp, vacation bible school, Kyle's birthday, Montreal and having many friends over for a swim.

Now our plans are winding down and we still have almost 3 full weeks of summer vacation left before school starts.  Which means we are now enjoying some lazy summer days...spending the whole morning in our pjs, playing games and watching tv.

Here's a play-by-play of a recent lazy summer day in our house...

Kyle playing his new super scribblenauts ds game
(thanks to Aunt Tara's birthday gift of an EB Games gift card)

Jillian making some virtual art on the Wii with uDraw
fun with snap'n style dolls and littlest pet shop toys

grilled cheese with mango-raspberry-carrot-spinach-coconut milk-juice smoothies for lunch
the girls and I doing some work for our new venture

trip to the library

and finally hanging out on the couch after dinner

Don't let the smiles and apparent space deceive you.  Even though it appears we have a lot of couch space there are in fact many, many fights over couch space in our house..."she's touching me", "he took my spot", "she's in my space".  And don't even get me started on choosing tv shows...with an 11 year old boy and 7 and 4 year old girls, watching tv is a competitive sport in our house!
