We painted an owl mug, a monster bank and a cupcake jewelry box. I can't wait to see the finished products after they are fired.
I've been feeling remiss about the miniscule amount of school stuff we've done this summer. My guilt turned into a scavenger hunt for our museum trip. Things like "an animal that was extinct before you were born", "an animal that starts with the letter W", "a plaque honouring someone"...you get the idea. Kyle and Rhys teamed up and filled out the whole thing. Jillian took on ours for the girl team and did quite well. It was fun watching them try to find specific things and ask to go to certain areas of the museum.
my little archaeologist
(confession: I had to look up the spelling for archaeologist)
Kyle and Rhys are suited up and ready for grade 6!
dinosaurs attacking a medival castle...that seems historically acurate
She already knows french and english...why not add Egyptian Hieroglyphics to the list? Jillian was diligent and spent time here getting her name just right using the Egyptian alphabet
Dinosaurs! Always a big hit with the kids
Jillian and Leah loved the gem and jewel exhibit
they would like one of everything (so would I!)
Next on our list for the final week of summer vacation is our former nanny Sam's wedding. The girls are thrilled to wear fancy dresses and see Sam all dressed up like a princess. Then it's onto Montreal to meet our newest family member, baby Noah!
