Magic Kingdom

Our third port of call was Port Canaveral.  This stop included transportation and park tickets to Walt Disney World.  We were up early and managed to get into Magic Kingdom before 9:00am.  We were able to enter the park before opening hours along with resort guests, which meant a headstart to our day and all the rides.

Normally on a Disney World vacation I have a very specific plan for each day.  But I knew it was a holiday in the US and a busy time for the parks so I went into our one day at Magic Kingdom with a very basic plan...get fast passes for Space Mountain (one of Jillian's top requests as she was too short to ride it on our last visit) and hit as many rides in Fantasyland as possible.  Leah was only 18 months on her first trip to the world while both Kyle and Jillian had experienced almost everything.  I knew this is where Leah would have the most fun and I wanted to make sure she had some fun memories from our day.

First we did the Barnstormer roller coaster...Leah's first real rollercoaster ride.  She wasn't too pleased while we were on the actual ride but managed a thumb's up afterwards.
Next up was the new dueling Dumbos...they've relocated the old Dumbo ride and added a second one as well as an indoor circus themed waiting area for the kids to play.  The ride was so empty we were able to ride a second time without even lining up again.  After Dumbo it was onto the famous tea cups where we spotted Alice and the white rabbit.

I love all the detail in the lineups...the kids had fun in the Winnie the Pooh lineup before we walked right onto the ride...this was one of Leah's favourites from the day.

The Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Space Mountain (Jillian and Kyle's favourite), Stitch's Great Escape, Mickey's Philharmagic, Peter Pan's Adventure, It's a Small World, Race Cars (Leah's favourite...she's a crazy driver), Disney Railroad, Celebrate You Parade and the Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Room...we made the most of our day at Magic Kingdom!

Leah eagerly waved at all the floats and characters.  I loved seeing her sweet face light up at all the sights and fun rides...that's what it's all about.
