Pin trading is yet another way for
Disney to make money my kids to have fun on a Disney vacation. Kyle and Jillian started their pin collections on our 2009 Disney World trip (with their own spending money I might add). In planning for this trip not only did I pack their lanyards, I picked up a few extra pins for each of them online (official pins at a fraction of the cost). I also picked up enough pins for Leah to get started as I knew she'd want to get in on the action. I wasn't sure how much pin trading would be available on the ship but I knew on our day in the parks the kids would have plenty of opportunities.
It turns out there is quite a bit of trading on the ship as well including a pin trading event with the officers of the ship.
A bit of pixie dust was sent our way after a night of pin trading with a cast member in the store...we came back to our staterooms and found these pin trading certificates along with a new pin for each of the kids!
