mathletics

Kyle loves math, he always has.  When he was 6 years old he was doing addition, subtraction and multiplication all together in questions and kept asking for more math worksheets that Jeff and I would make up for him.  I remember when he asked to learn something new, Jeff got about halfway through explaining division before Kyle interrupted saying "so, it's the opposite of multiplication...why didn't you just say that?". 





It's no surprise Kyle has taken an interest in math competitions.  He competed in a local mathletics competition last year for the first time in the grade 5/6 division with 44 other students and placed 7th.

This year he went to the same competition and came in 2nd...way to go Kyle!!  In addition to bragging rights Kyle won this snap circuits set.  He's already used it to make a radio and a fan.
