this and that

Saturday morning and the girls have been playing dressup...Jillian is Izzy from Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Leah is a mishmash from our dressup bin (part pirate, part Woody the sheriff).

I've been keeping busy with our school fundraiser - a magazine drive.  Leah has been very patient and helpful coming to the school with me on her non-school days.  Sometimes I think she spends as much time at Kyle & Jillian's school as she does at her own.  The office staff, teachers and kids all love seeing her walk around, both Kyle and Jillian are always happy to give her a hug when we go by their classrooms.  She's so sweet and easy-going, which makes it easy for me to bring her along with me to the school and on other errands.  I'm quite happy Leah's school isn't going to full day, 5 day kindergarden until after she is finished SK.  Right now she goes to school on Mondays, Wednesdays and some Fridays.  I do enjoy having my buddy at home with me 2-3 days a week.  That being said, Leah absolutely loves her school days and is doing a great job in JK.

Leah and I had a Starbucks break this week while at the mall.  I can't believe they pull out those red cups the day after h'ween.  My kids all love their kid-sized (and kid-friendly temperature) hot chocolate with whipped cream.  I think she looks too cute sitting there with her name on her cup...gotta get them started early on that coffee run habit.

Leah's current favourite movie?  Barbie the Princess & the Popstar!  Leah has watched it at least 20 times, I've already downloaded some of the songs onto my ipod (yes, Barbie songs are on iTunes), Leah has almost all the words memorized, and I do to.  I love how Leah pulls out her guitar to play and sing along while watching.  She even took her guitar into school for show and tell.

flatbread pizza tonight for dinner
first is cheeseburger (that's what I'm calling it...really just sauce, cheddar cheese and left over meatballs)
second is roasted red pepper, spinach, ricotta & goat cheese with olive oil (yum!)
