We've had some sickness in the house with a couple of viruses and strep throat...so far everyone is recovering and I think we'll all be healthy for Christmas Day.
We had our Christmas pageant at church which was adorable as always. The theme was the town which forgot about the meaning of Christmas. Kudos to Kevin, our youth pastor, who along with his wife makes Sunday school one of our favourite parts of the week. It's so easy to get caught up being busy during the holidays. The pageant and being in church are a great reminder for all of us, we are celebrating the birth of our saviour. After church we had my parents back to the house for lunch and cupcakes to celebrate Nana's birthday.
In the coming week we have more Christmas prep plus some party planning for Jillian's birthday at the end of December. I can't believe this amazing girl is about to turn 8 years old!
As I write this post I keep looking at these pictures of my sweet girls and I can't stop thinking about the pictures I've been seeing of the terrible tragedy that happened on Friday in Newport, CT. These pictures of my girls look so much like all the smiling faces of the 20 children lost last week. I can't help but think about how the parents must be feeling right now while life stands still but continues on for the rest of the world. I hope and pray my own children never face that sort of tragedy in their own lives.
