Normally I get the tree up at the end of November but this year we've been busy. But I didn't leave it too long, it's December first and we finally have the tree up and decorated.
Today was a busy one...Leah has been sick the past few days and it only got worse today with some early morning puking. She's spent a good chunk of the day laying on the couch napping. While Jeff and Leah hung out at home this morning I did some Christmas shopping and Kyle & Jillian were at pageant practice at church. Afterwards Jillian helped me get lights and ribbon onto the tree while Leah napped. We waited for her to wake up and be perky enough to enjoy decorating the tree (thanks to tylenol). All three of them love digging into their box of ornaments...non-breakables including many handmade ornaments. They especially love finding the ones they made and hanging them on the tree.
I've started the rest the decorations but they won't be finished until tomorrow. It's nice to finally have the house look like Christmas!
