Dear Santa

It's that time of year, when the kids make their list for the big guy in red.  We are all about the true meaning of Christmas, my kids know Christmas doesn't come from a store (from both church and the tale of the Grinch of course).  But I still found their circling of toys and games in the toy catalogues excessive...if it was pink, Jillian and Leah put it on their list.  Then I found a neat idea and decided this was the way to go for our Santa lists (once again, thank you pinterest).  This had the kids really thinking about what they wanted and needed.  I like that it incorporates clothing and books, both of which the kids need (and get) each year anyhow.  Here are Kyle, Jillian & Leah's lists for this year...
Kyle is asking for money towards his ipod fund because he's been told Santa will NOT bring an ipod touch, plus he's thisclose to having enough money after the paper route we had for a few months.

Jillian's list incorporates all of her favourite things...
Horses (she wants both a stuffed horse and Brave on DVD because Merida rides a horse), dresses, and art supplies for my crafty girl.
I don't know if Santa can deliver snow for Jillian, the forecast currently says it'll be a green Chistmas for us.

I wrote out the basics for Leah but she still ended up asking me to finish while she dictated (hope she grows up to have a secretary someday).  A bit hard to read some of the words so I'll translate:
- I want a Go-Go & paint stuff (specifically "paint stuff just for me"...can you tell she's a third kid?)
- I need chocolate (ah, that's my girl!)
- I'll wear nightgown
- I'll read Fancy Nancy (current favourite series)
- I'll watch the new Tinkerbell movie
- She'd love a fairy house along with fairies including the new fairy, Periwinkle. (I believe Santa is working on modifying a doll house into a fairy house into his workshop in time for Christmas Eve...)

There's a few things on my own Christmas list...I'd love a new charm for my pandora bracelet, a milk frother, a movie and a new travel mug.  I wouldn't turn down an updated ipod touch since mine is one of the first without a camera (but that's a pricey thing just to upgrade one I currently have so I'm not holding my breath).  Most of all right now I'd really love for my sinuses to clear up, that would be some nice Christmas magic!

my girls in their matching shirts...I had a different shirt out for Leah to wear but she wanted to wear this one like Jillian (the laugh is on me since I disliked always matching with my sister growing up and insisted I wouldn't do that to my girls...a little chuckle for you Mom!)
